Since Christmas is a wonderful time of the year full of a mysterious atmosphere, sincere love, well-wishing, attention to people close to you, as well as words of gratitude and a warm family feeling, traditionally during this festive period Janina Monkute-Marks museum-gallery organizes specialized selective exhibitions. We invite artists from different fields to create their works for the prepared theme of the exhibition. In 2012 was organised the international Christmas exhibition  “Angels”, in 2013 – the international Christmas exhibition “Black Light 2 – Experiments” and this year we plan to arrange an international Christmas exhibition of art dolls “The Kingdom of Dolls”.

The first international exhibition of dolls “The World of Dolls and Woodland Fairies” was organized in Janina Monkutė-Marks Museum-Gallery five years ago. 38 artists-doll makers from The United States of America, Canada, Lithuania and Latvia participated in this international exhibit. More than a hundred original and artistic dolls were exhibited.

After a successful debut of the exhibition in 2009, we want to please the inhabitants of Kedainiai once again by offering them a new internationals Christmas exhibition of art dolls “The Kingdom of Dolls” and invite artists to participate and create works for this exhibition. We believe that it will bring a lot of joy, beauty and warm feelings to the Gallery visitors and will create an everlasting magical mood. The exhibition will be unique as handmade dolls spread an extraordinary, comfortable mood, creates a sort of fairy tale, and each personage has its own character and individual story. We hope to hold the largest and wide range exhibition of dolls in Lithuania.
