Youth Project “TELL ME YOUR OWN STORY”
The main activity of Janina Monkute-Marks museum–gallery is to organize professional art exhibits and present educational projects. “Tell me your own story” was presented to young students (age 14-18). It was divided into several cycles.1. It started in February 2006 with projects “Fairy tales were gliding through the air…” “When the tale is ending …” and continued with international museum night – “Lights in the park”2. European Night of Museums “LIGHTS IN THE PARK”
Participants in “Tell me your own story” a project hosted by the Museum, have had a chance to display their artistic ability in “Lights in the Park”. These children have made lanterns by hand, which were then laid out around the Museum’s grounds. In addition, the Museum has hosted a film by Vitolis Laumakis depicting Kedainiai’s museum, galleries from thirty years ago. Members of the community enjoyed this celebration in the park.
