The Youth Activity Project of Kedainiai District Municipality “THE MUSEUM FOR YOUTH – ART FORTRESS”
When we were preparing the project for Kedainiai District Municipality, our main objective was to organize for the youth a fascinating and unique European Museum Night. To be precise, we hoped that the youth on their own initiative will contribute to the organization and realization of the Museum Night. European Night of Museums “KALEIDOSCOPE”
This was the ninth time when Janina Monkute-Marks museum-gallery participated in European Night of Museums project. Educational event “Colors of American and Lithuanian Cinema” Part 1
September 25th, 3:00 pm at Janina Monkute-Marks museum-gallery was organized an educational event and meeting with a teacher from Vytautas Magnus University - Jaq Greenspon. He is screenwriter and actor who has worked for more than 10 years in Hollywood. Guest not only talked about the history of the American cinema, introduced the first Hollywood film stars, shared his experience, but also conducted a creative script writing workshop. Educational event “Colors of American and Lithuanian Cinema” Part 2
October 1st, 4:00 pm at Janina Monkute-Marks museum-gallery was organized an educational event and meeting with young and talented Lithuanian animator - Meinardas Valkevicius. He presented a brief history of animation history, including well-known Lithuanian artists. Moreover, Meinardas Valkevicius told about the secrets of animators' work, introduced with his own artworks - cartoons.This event is a part of the project "Colorful USA in the middle of Lithuania". Educational event “Reflections of American Fashion”
October 22nd, 3:00 pm at Janina Monkute-Marks museum-gallery was organized an educational event and meeting with designer Jolanta Talaikyte. The lecturer talked about American fashion history and its famous designers. During this activity the participants were included into a workshop. ATTENTION – CREATIVE COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS FROM THE SCHOOLS
Janina Monkute-Marks museum-gallery realizes a project which was sponsored by the American Embassy in Lithuania, called "Colorful USA in the middle of Lithuania". The aim of the project - to introduce the colorful America through the tolerance to different cultures and types of art. Creative Competition. We organize the creative competition in which we invite students from the schools in Kedainiai District to participate. November 6th, 4:00 pm at Janina Monkute-Marks museum-gallery was organized an educational event "Modern Scrapbooking Workshop". Artist Ernesta Liužinienė from "Island of Guest" intraduced participants with modern scrapping, which has been revived in America and was very popular at one point of the time in the past.
